Indian Creek Crack Climbing Trip

Join Denver Mountain Guiding for a once in a life time experience of crack climbing in the desert!

Learn to crack climb on some of the best sandstone splitters out there! Knowing how to crack climb is an essential skill to being an all-around climber in the mountains, and Indian Creek offers splitter cracks along with beautiful desert landscapes.

Who is this trip for?

  • This trip will be for beginner to intermediate crack climbers. The routes will mostly be in the 5.8 to 5.10a range.
  • We will be covering beginner crack climbing skills, with a variety of skills used, such as hand jams, fist jams, finger locks, layback techniques and how to jam in a corner, and we will even touch upon a little bit of offwidth as an option.

What's included?

  • 2 days of guided climbing and instruction
  • Camping fees
  • Group size is limited to the first 4 people that sign up!
  • Arrive Friday, anytime in the afternoon/evening, and plan to climb all day Saturday and Sunday, then departing on Sunday.

Prerequisites

  • Participants are required to be proficient at toprope belaying
  • Participants must be familiar with climbing on a variety of terrain, whether it's in the gym or outside, and be willing to challenge themselves.

Participants will be responsible for transportation to and from Indian Creek and food for themselves. We can create a carpool list once we get all participants.

Space is limited to 4 total participants for one guide to limit group size at the cliff and facilitate a more one-on-one experience. If the first group fills up, we can have a second guide and split up during the day at the crag.
